President/Owner Andrew P. Lehman, J.D., Advertises: 'CERTIFIED FORENSIC LOAN AUDITORS, LLC, is the nation's premier forensic loan auditing and mortgage/litigation support company. CFLA provides the most comprehensive and competent Forensic Audit in the industry, as well as tailor-made Qualified Written Requests, Complaints and Discovery Requests for professionals specializing in Mortgage Modification and Real Estate Law.' Truth: Mr. Lehman does not possess a J.D. (confirmed by his own school, discussed later) , and CFLA is not the nation's premier forensic loan auditing company. Look closely and you'll realize that CFLA sells TILA audits listing the characteristics of loans that would not require the ''Demand/Rescission' letter packets sold with the audits. These letters are sent out when CFLA knows no rescissions are available: After rescission periods have ended, when loans are not refi's, and when RESPA-based QWR letters are sandwiched in with them, making the QWRs also completely worthless. I have several samples! CFLA Advertises: 'Certified Forensic Loan Auditors, LLC Issues its Corporate Statement of Compliance With AB 2325'. Truth: Certified Forensic Loan Auditors has not even registered in California under AB 2325, which amends CA Civil Code 2945.1/AB 2325. CFLA was supposed to do so in 2009, and again in Jan 2011. This means CFLA avoids paying the requisite $100,000.00 bond while also not refraining from taking up-front payments. They think they have the public fooled that they only provide reports and documents to attorneys--hogwash. I witnessed otherwise, and have the evidence. Yet this company has the gall to brag online (google it!) about how much $$ it raked in for 2010! CFLA Advertises: 'Certified Forensic Loan Auditors, LLC is Attorney Operated'. Truth: Certified Forensic Loan Auditors, LLC, barely operates, and certainly not by attorneys. Check out any attorneys' names affiliated with it, and you'll see independently contracting attorneys here and there, or a 'CFLA Executive Member' who practices in New Mexico and isn't even licensed in CA. Mr. Lehman advertises: "Law Offices of Andrew P. Lehman' at 9663 Santa Monica Blvd. Ste. 766, Beverly Hills, CA 90210 phone 310-598-5936'. Truth: Mr. Lehman is not only not a licensed attorney in California, but he does not even possess a law degree (J.D.), despite the fact that he places 'J.D.' after his name. Google him/CFLA and you'll see in one of his bio's where he states that he obtained his J.D. from Southwestern University of Law (formerly Southwestern College of Law). Just call over to Southwestern and ask for the Office of Assistant Dean for Registration & Academic Records to verify that he attended only 2 years there, and did not even graduate. CFLA Advertises: 'Securitization Auditor Training Certification Course--a comprehensive 3-day training course to become a CFLA accredited Mortgage Securitization Auditor "MSA"' and 'Pricing:$2,995.00 for the 3-day course' and 'Receive a Certificate of Completion recognizing that you sufficiently meet the CFLA requirements necessary to be accredited as a "Mortgage Securitization Auditor". Truth: There is no such thing, outside of Mr. Lehman's imagination, called an 'MSA'. CFLA is not a certifying body, and has no certifying body! He is charging nearly $3k so you receive a nice-looking certificate showing only that you completed a training course his company puts on. Wow--you meet his company's requirements? And what are those requirements? Just call the National Association of Mortgage Underwriters (NAMU) and ask why NAMU, a certifying body for the only Forensic Loan Auditor Certification available, cut its affiliation with CFLA because of many of the Truths revealed here. CFLA Advertises: 'Not only are we the most competent and experienced team of Forensic Loan Auditors, but we can also offer expert testimony in court, to authenticate and evaluate the findings in the forensic loan audits'. Truth: CFLA cannot make any such offer, because none of its employees appear in cases as court-qualified experts. Their Senior Auditor, Marla Giddings, did announce to attendees at a CFLA seminar that she 'finally got to telephone in some testimony' on one occasion. The only independent contractors who were court-qualified did not affiliate with CFLA long before moving on, and they did not ever appear as experts on CFLA's behalf. This complaint is only but a glint of the multi-leveled CERTIFRAUD going on with Mr. Lehman and his company. The worst part of it is having been involved with them and seeing just how hungrily they feed on the unsuspecting and the desperate people facing foreclosure, just to make bucks, and pretending to care so very much! Andrew P. Lehman sees making money as an end in itself; this is the kind of perverse capitalism the Bernie Madoffs and the Wells Fargo's of the world are known for. But work with him and you'll see he's as lacking in integrity as he is maturity and intelligence, so usually works with younger (20-30-somethings), malleable automatons who don't A) Know that he's a fraud; B) Question him or check out his credentials; C) Recognize that he's out to line his pockets to the detriment of everything and everyone else...just ask the employees and contractors he doesn't pay (towards that end, I have documented evidence of his owing nearly $10k to just two of them).
